Dr Seema Padencheri did her training in Psychiatry both in India and in Australia. After graduating from India with a Diploma and MD in Psychiatry, she finished her FRANZCP in 2009 and finished an Advanced Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2011. For the last 16 years, she has worked in various Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services as well as inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Wards in Australia. She has experience in Medical Management and regularly takes part in Trainee supervision and assessments of both Trainees and International Medical Graduates in Psychiatry. She has been working mainly in the public sector and now has ventured into the private sector. Apart from General Child and Adolescent presentations, she has special interest and further experience in neurodevelopmental disorders and Perinatal Presentations. She is passionate about involving and supporting families and carers as part of the management of adolescent and young people’s mental health issues.
