What is Virtual Inpatient Care with NCN Health?
NCN Health, in collaboration with Telecare, piloted Virtual Inpatient Care to deliver more comprehensive care by utilising virtual healthcare services. As part of this program, an additional support physician is available to the NCN network virtually.
The supplementary physician assists current healthcare workers with patient admissions, reviews and ad-hoc support—helping maintain continuity of care when local capacity is stretched.
What to expect
Your care journey in hospital
Patients should expect a level of care consistent with in-person services. You must consent to be looked after virtually before joining the program.

Admission review by video
When you arrive at the hospital, you are reviewed via video by the admitting doctor.

Daily ward rounds
Your condition is reviewed each day on ward rounds via video, keeping your care plan up to date.

Nurses can reach your doctor anytime
Nurses can contact your doctor by telephone or video whenever needed. Your care is not compromised by having your doctor available virtually—and it can help you stay closer to home.
