Dr New is dual-trained in Endocrinology and General & Acute Care Medicine. She completed her medical degree in University of Adelaide in 2010 and underwent physician training in several major cities across Australia including Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Gold Coast and Townsville before settling in Victoria. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Master of Medicine specializing in Metabolic Health and is a member of Endocrine Society, Australian Diabetes Society, Australian and New Zealand Bone Mineral Society as well as Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. 

 She is a strong believer of patient-centred care and works closely with her patients to develop personalized management plans for ongoing therapy. Her passion lies in supporting her patients throughout their journey in weight management, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, osteoporosis, hypogonadism, as well as thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary disorders.
